Training "Gender & Empowerment"

Reso-femmes see to develop and implement training programs designed exclusively to help these women to enter the sphere of decision-making and to understand the new measures for their economic, social and political promotion. The organization includes, for example, in each of its modules the principles of the conventions and updates, through its publications, the latest decisions on empowerment and gender equality.

Training Sessions

Through interactive sessions, the principles of the conventions, global objectives and current topics are discussed simultaneously. They are then subject of activity reports and field investigations, conducted by students that we train on site.

Based on situations of daily interactions of women with the various actors involved in development and representations of gender relations, RESO-Femmes innovate programs that take account of the statutory concerns of local women wich it connects to the international debate. The organization also consider the historical facts of each region (archives) that it does not isolate from democratic prospects and from governance established in the regions.

In our centers, this happen through sessions (common-section) that makes topical past history to them, in its processes and transitions that it tries to include in continuity and not breaking up with government institutions recently put in place.

Training "gender and empowerment" is based on two main areas:

  • A basic training that inform and bring them up to new democratic structures and to content of international action that it articulates at MDG planetary plan
  • Workshops to prepare them for working in network and that intergrate in a transverse way, all the worrying development issues. This technique makes more concrete 8 MDG goals beacause we put them into practice through each of the four networks (health, education, agro-pastoral, small businesses).

This approach has the advantage, first, to end too sectorial project designed by the associations and some sponsors. On the other hand, it empowers women indipendence and their access to resources more sustainable, both for themselves and their environment. Finally, it encourages initiative and innovation on the part of our groups and oblige to better coordination between private partners and public institutions.
