Action and Operationalization

This project fits into the context of decentralization and democratic reforms. These reforms provide a gap in the traditional power and opportunity for women in West Africa to grow and develop global business that RESO-Femmes International should not miss.

The aims of our international organization since January 2009 are to offer to different networks of member associations:

  • An operational, transnational and dynamic network realized through united and complementary activities
  • Training in "empowerment and gender" that prepare them to innovate and undertake sustainable projects;
  • Local services that reply to the concerns of social groups in difficulty;
  • Support structures in priority sectors (Health, Education. Agro-pastoral, small business);
  • Training responding directly to their commitment to communities and their infrastructure needs.

Discussion

Our policy of intervention belongs to several levels:

  • Local and regional: in partnership with communities
  • Transnational: from a network of municipalities and of the private sector that dynamically support their empowerment projects, considering their gender issues
  • International: through our international and scientific partnersto give coherence and unity to our actions.

The undertaking of an research-action focuses on the mobilization of student teams in order toarchive our data and experience of our trainings. The experience of social relations with other groups (youth, trades, local and national collectivities, international networks, etc ...) are destined tofacilitate their development and access to a better status, knowing that they are trained to become elected and/or independent business women.
